Gladstone wins Sports Direct software contract

Sports Direct has selected Gladstone Health and Leisure to be its software supplier for the roll out of the retailer’s health and fitness clubs. The contract runs for three years.

The network of Sports Direct Fitness.com clubs includes 13 former LA Fitness clubs, as well as gyms above the company’s stores.

Gladstone reports that it was able to set up a hosted management software system and website for Sports Direct Fitness.com in only two weeks when Sports Direct’s purchase deal with LA Fitness was completed, ensuring a “seamless transition” for both staff and existing members.

As well as Gladstone’s core ‘Plus2 Membership Management’ software and ‘Connect’ online booking tool, Sports Direct will also use a range of support systems including a prospecting tool, ‘Contact Manager’ for sales and marketing, and ‘Business Process Manager’, which can automate business processes and reports. The retailer has also purchased ‘eyeQ’, Gladstone’s new analysis and business intelligence system.

The software company provided onsite support and training for each site on the first day of trading on the new system, which was supported with web sessions, specifically recorded to suit Sports Direct operations.
